Courtney accepts briefs in all areas of law. She has a particular interest in commercial law, taxation and revenue, constitutional law and administrative law.
Courtney was called to the Bar in 2023 as Counsel Assisting the NSW Solicitor General and Crown Advocate. Prior to that, Courtney was a Senior Solicitor in the Constitutional and Administrative Law team at the NSW Crown Solicitor’s Office and Associate to Justice Payne at the NSW Court of Appeal. She has also worked as an academic tutor at the University of Sydney.
Courtney holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Sydney, and a Master of Laws from the University of Melbourne, where she studied subjects in commercial law, competition law and taxation. Courtney also holds a Bachelor of Design in Architecture from the University of Sydney and has previously worked at an architecture practice and a planning consultancy firm.
