Kate has been practising at the New South Wales Bar since 2004 and was appointed Senior Counsel in 2017.
Kate has a broad national practice and appears in a variety of criminal and civil matters with a focus on regulatory matters including cartels, consumer protection, financial services, money laundering and foreign bribery. Kate has also developed a significant class action practice acting for both representative group members and respondents and is a member of the Law Council of Australia’s Class Action Committee.
Kate was an Associate to the Hon Michael H McHugh AC KC. She attended Yale Law School and was first admitted to practice in New York State in 1996 and practised as an attorney at Sullivan & Cromwell in New York until 1998. Kate was admitted in New South Wales in 1998 and practised as a solicitor at Mallesons Stephen Jaques and then at the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions before coming to the Bar.
