Sarah accepts briefs in a wide range of matters with a particular focus on competition and consumer law; regulatory investigations and prosecutions; criminal law (including white collar crime); inquests, commissions and inquiries; disciplinary matters; human rights and international law.
Sarah was first admitted to practice in 2006 in New York, US. She was admitted in New South Wales in 2008 and called to the bar in 2020.
Sarah brings a unique and diverse perspective to her practice, gained through experience in different jurisdictions and professional environments. Immediately prior to coming to the bar, Sarah was a solicitor at Webb Henderson where she specialised in competition and consumer law, white collar crime and commercial litigation. Earlier in her career, Sarah worked as an Assistant Prosecutor at the United Nations war crimes tribunal in Cambodia; a Legal Officer in the Trial Chambers of the International Criminal Court in the Netherlands; an Assistant Director in the Enforcement branch of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission; and a Policy Analyst at the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development in France.
In 2018 Sarah received the Special Counsel of the Year award at the Lawyer’s Weekly Women in Law Awards.
